Fred Van Eps - On The Dixie Highway

The year is 1916. Vess L. Ossman's star is descending, and Fred Van Eps is on the rise, heading for a stellar career of many decades. Here are On The Dixie Highway and Teasing The Cat, a record I found in the thrift stores in Tacoma back in the early 70's. The trio is Fred, a saxophone, and piano, an excellent composition with crisp banjo and competent accompaniment. After near 40 years, I still love to hear this.
